Usually, it took hours for him to fall asleep because of his illness. But last night was different. After Helion ordered her to sleep, he could hear her heart beating faster. He couldn't help but smile that he wasn't the only one affected by their bond.
Once she fell asleep, he turned toward her, allowing the warmth from her body to calm his pain and restlessness. He breathed in the scent he couldn't get enough of while staring at her peaceful face. Within minutes, he had given in to sleep. Helion couldn't remember the last time he slept so well.
