TAMLIN'S POV
Tamlin was shivering lightly as she knelt before her sobbing cousin. Gently hugging him, she smoothed his black curls. Poor boy-he seemed to be really struggling. If only she had been more attentive. Maybe none of this would have happened.
She was mad that he hadn't trusted her enough to tell her, but she knew he couldn't be blamed. They had all been absent.
So she settled and waited, rubbing his back gently. Maybe he would reveal something else, but instead he just hugged her tighter.
A throat clearing got her attention. It was Kallias.
"Won't you check the scents? We have only a few hours before they disappear. You can come back to this later."
Reluctantly, she released Ezekiel. "Be calm. You and I will talk tonight. Okay? Go back to the Beta House. You'
