A JOURNEY BACK HOME
TAMLIN'S POV
The last thing Tamlin expected was to find her uncle, belly opened and being tested on a new drug or rather, poison concocted by the rogues. Its pungent smell filled the air.
It wasn't in any hospital or witch's chamber. This process was done in a tent, surrounded by series of concoctions fuming and boiling.
She instantly recognized the poisons she had collected from the mysterious intruder at the Beta House.
She could only ask herself how the rogues were able to enter the house without a scent, pick whatever they wanted from a safe room no one had access to, and then bring it all the way to this camp. A camp two days' walk away? That just didn't make sense.
