Chapter 11: Violence Is Never the Answer

Nancy Gu retorted without any politeness, while Mo Jiang suppressed his anger and took a deep breath, a cold light flashing in his eyes.

“Nancy Gu, you need to understand that you can attend Ping Cheng No. 1 High School because of the Gu family. Similarly, the Gu family can take everything back from you.”

Nancy Gu tugged at the corner of her lips: “It was Xena Gu who sent you here, wasn’t it?”

Hearing the name Xena Gu, Mo Jiang's gaze softened.

“Mo Jiang, didn’t you even ask me why I hit him? Is it appropriate for me to just apologize?”

Mo Jiang was slightly taken aback but quickly regained his composure.

“Hitting someone is wrong.”

Seeing that Mo Jiang wasn’t there to defend Nancy Gu, Min Liu stepped forward.

Principal Zhang chimed in: “Nancy Gu, Mrs. Cai has already backed down; all you need to do is sincerely apologize to Cai Tongxue and this matter will be settled.”

Nancy Gu scoffed lightly. “How could I possibly apologize to a pig?”

“Nancy Gu! Who do you call a pig? Try saying that again—I’ll make sure you regret it,” Yan Cai exclaimed furiously. Min Liu's face turned pale with rage as she glared at Nancy Gu through gritted teeth. “Good! Very good! You wretched girl!

From now on I will let you know what happens when you offend our Cai family.”

“Hmph! Don’t think that Tim Gu can protect you; as long as he isn’t stupid he won’t go against our Cai family for an adopted daughter.”

Mo Jiang looked disappointedly at Nancy Gu. “You truly are beyond saving.”

Principal Zhang frowned tightly: “Mr. Mo, this child is too difficult to teach; it seems our small school can't accommodate her anymore—please inform Mr. Gu that starting tomorrow Nancy Gu doesn’t need to come back.”

This was clearly an intention for expulsion. At this moment, the door was pushed open again. Before anyone entered fully there came a low yet pleasant laugh. “Wow! It’s so lively here!”

Accompanying that clear voice was a young handsome man followed by another man behind him. The second man's looks were exceptionally stunning but exuded an air of coldness; his striking phoenix eyes swept over those present before finally settling on the girl in uniform—the coldness in his gaze softened slightly. Nancy Gu lowered her eyelids and felt her long lashes quiver slightly upon hearing the voice before lifting them towards the doorway. She met the man’s gaze directed at her.
