NICHOLAS The moment was perfect. The softness of her lips, her silky hair, her soft sighs. Each one undid me in a different kind of way. I cradled the back of her neck, fingers curling slightly as I deepened the kiss. She answered with a sound that went straight through my chest, and suddenly I wasn’t sure where I ended and she began. She pulled me closer, knocking something off the counter behind us with a loud clatter. Neither of us flinched. I couldn care less, the outside world was miles away.
