EMILY The scratching of my pencil to the paper was the only sound. That, and my raging thoughts. Nicholas had bought me from a flesh market, like I was a goddamn antique. Then he brought me to his absurdly large mansion and handed me art supplies like that somehow made up for the fact that I was property now. Talk about unhinged.
