EMILY I watched as Ted grabbed a jacket, tension radiating off him and stormed out without a single word. I turned to Danny. “Where’s he going?” He shrugged, furiously pressing his phone. I buried my face in the pillow, screaming into it. They’d been so urgent a few hours ago and now they were almost… nonchalant. My plan of going after Nicholas went down the drain, along with their concerns. They’d decided to stay here with me. To keep an eye on me Ted said. I called bullshit. “Have they found Nicholas?” I asked. “No,” Danny said simply, not bothering to look up from his screen. My nerves were fraying, I’d been sitting at a spot for hours. “I thought you said you guys were going to look for him.” “We are. Our guys are sweeping the streets.” “Arent you supposed to be with them?”
