Lucas kept his head bowed as he held the door open in front of Grey Manor and Alexandra stepped out. As per curtsey, she thanked him and headed inside.
The first thing she did was to collapse on her soft bed. The comfy mattress instantly accepted her body and drew her in. She sighed and closed her eyes.
‘What a day.’ She thought and rolled on her side, closing her eyes to gather her thoughts when the sound of her house phone interrupted the session.
“Well damn.” She muttered and rolled over then reached for the landline position on her night stand. She picked it up and placed it to her ear. “Yeah hello?”
She asked casually, not expecting anyone important, however, at the voice from the other side, her body tensed up.
“Alexandra, it’s your Grandmother.”
