28. The Fight

After what seemed close to an eternity, mostly due to Juan's impatience and anxiety, they arrived there. The night by the bay was loud and dangerous. It was far from peaceful. The sound of gunshots echoed all around, loud like thunder in a storm. The flashes from the guns lit up the dark like small explosions. Juan jumped out of the vehicle, his boots hitting the wet ground hard. His coat flew behind him as he moved fast through the gunfight. The ground was slippery. Water from the sea mixed with blood, making it even more dangerous to walk or run. People were hiding behind big metal containers, trying not to get shot.
