He slammed his phone against his ear, barking at his assistant the second the call connected. "What the hell is wrong with my account? Why is my card getting declined?!"
A hesitant, strained voice answered from the other end. "Sir, we're still looking into it. We aren't entirely sure what happened yet, and checking the system logs might take a few days."
"A few days? I don't care what it takes—fix it ASAP!"
Adrian hung up, his irritation spiking when he looked up and met the pointed, questioning stares of both Layla and the sales associate.
Swallowing his pride, he forced a tight smile. "Just a minor hiccup at the corporate office. My accounts are temporarily frozen. Total stroke of bad luck today, but I'll come back and get this for you another time."
