The soft thumps of my shoes on the marbled tiles compete against the loud thud of my heart in my chest. In every direction I angle my sight, there are advertisements of the audition for the ‘Trust & Betrayal’ either posted on the walls or displayed on the stands.
I tighten my arm around Chaz and without meeting his gaze, I whisper his name. “Chaz.”
“I know,” he replies as we continue to saunter on the hallway. Just like me, he keeps on roaming his sight around.
The moment we set foot on the actual theater where the audition will take place, Mr. Cobalt welcomes us with a wide smile.
