April 4, 2011 I yawned while stretching my arms and my legs. It had been hours since we arrived at the Manila Cathedral but Chaz nor a priest were nowhere to be found. Ate Mallory’s eyes were wet and swollen, her nose was red and her make-up was smudged. As she sat at the altar holding a small bouquet of flowers in her hands, I stood up from the left front seat and walked towards her. Her painful sobs loudened and echoed across the empty church when I enfolded her in my arms. “Ate, let’s go home.” She didn’t say a word and it took her a moment to nod. Bianca, who’s sitting beside Ate Mallory, narrowed her eyes then kneeled down and kneaded my sister’s scar. “Let’s wait for him.
