Chapter thirty seven

lex returned a day before his birthday, Alec rushed out to meet him as he was entering the throne room
"Brother you are back" he shouted
"Aye brother I am" Alex said as the boy assessed him
"Where is my flute?" He asked and Alex smiled before reaching into his bag and bringing out a very beautiful flute, the boy's eyes shone in brightness as he immediately took the flute and rushed back to his mother who was sitting on her throne beside the king
"Mother look, brother bought me a flute" he shouted and the woman gave a faint smile while glancing at Alex with a cold eyes which he pretended not to see
"Father" he said
"You have returned" the king said
"Aye I have" he said
"Then rest well, tomorrow is your birthday and your mother has prepared a beautiful feast
