Niall scoffed. "What consequences can there possibly be? You killing me? Isn't that what you've been unsuccessfully trying to do in the past few years?"
"Underestimating me can cost you dearly." Asher said. His glare then turned to Serah. "What were you thinking, agreeing to give him your blood so readily?"
Serah's indignation also mounted. "I was only playing along, okay?" She hollered. "Can't you see he's holding Aria hostage? I can't risk her!"
Asher's eyes narrowed. "We'll talk later about how you placed her in danger."
