The rest of the castle was just as barren as the first room but it had sure been resplendent back in the day. As they went through different rooms, Asher realized the place had been fashioned to accommodate a couple. So the Vampire King lived here alone with his Queen…
"I wonder what led the Vampire King to go to such extremes to hide this place." Gareth commented.
"Aren't you supposed to know that?." Niall replied, his tone sarcastic. "What? The great vampire king can't even recognize his fallen empire?"
Gareth gave him a sour look. "I don't recognize anything here." He admitted eventually.
"Of course you wouldn't." Niall scoffed. "Don't be deluded into thinking you're the Vampire King just because of your blood consistency."
