The sight of Asher, his eyes fierce as they remained fixed on Niall, made Serah's heart surge. The bad was already done and Heather fell victim to Niall but the knowledge that he was here for her made her relieved.
Niall released his hold on Heather and immediately the poor girl slumped to the ground, her whole body seeming devoid of life.
"Heather!" Serah shouted, rushing to her friend.
"Serah! Stay back!" She heard Asher calling out but she couldn't bring herself to leave when Heather was dying. Her neck bled at such an alarming rate, the sight gruesome.
Just as she kneeled down to gather Heather's body against her chest, Asher reached Niall, engaging him in a fight. Thankfully, he managed to lead the fight some distance away and Serah was able to focus on looking after Heather.
