Furiously she asked”who is this?”
The other side of the call answered”merissa”
Mary recalled the day she saw that name on Herman’s phone
“Why do you have Herman's phone?”
“Well he forgot it in my room,he went to the lab.”
Sadly she answered”mmh okay”and hung up the phone.john noticed how her mood changed,when he was about to say anything.Mary happily said”let's go out and eat,am craving meat and ice cream too” john only nodded while looking at her.
“But I'm gonna change first”
“Okay ,let me get the car” John sadly walked away,he hated seeing her sad but he couldn't do anything but said to himself ``I will make you happy tonight''.
Mary reached her room and threw her phone on the bed and went to a bathroom .When she was done she walked out, turned on the speaker and selected the song and started to prepare herself while singing and dancing. When she was done she thought where is john.she opened the door without checking her phone but after opening the door she saw john leaning on the wall playing game on his phone.he sensed her so he looked at her with so much care only to meet with the bright smile that he mostly love he also found himself smiling back.
“When have you arrived?”
“A while ago”
“Did you call me? Sorry i” before she could finish he interept her
“No, I didn't call you,I am not in a hurry”
“Okay, let me take my wallet and we can leave”
“No need,it's my treat”
“But”
“No no no buts”
She shakes her head and walks out and clock her door and walk toward John’s car he opens the door for and she gets in then say” thank you” while smiling.
He smiles back and walks away,he also gets in and drives away,Mary chooses the playlist she liked,when sad song sang and her mood changed John changed the song and Mary looked at him and smiled and say” am very hungry, can't wait to eat” she was so excited
They arrived at HAVANA restaurant Mary excitedly walked out”finally we are here,am addicted to their food “
“I will take you somewhere after a meal and it's a surprise”
She nodded and worked in.the waiter welcomed them and showed them to their table.after they sat he asked “what would you like to have?”
John instructs Mary to choose without looking at the menu. She said”I would like two beef, right, John.”
“Yes and red wine please”
“Two glasses or a bottle?” the waiter asks while they are not down their order.
“A bottle” when he turned to Mary he saw her mood had changed while she was staring at something when he turned he saw Herman and Merissa talking and laughing. He furiously wanted to go to them but Mary stopped him.
“Let them be,lets enjoy our meal”
Angry, he asked,”Why don't you say anything?”
“I know Herman and you know he is not a cheater,there must be a reason behind all of this”,disappointment was all over her face John saw it but said nothing.when he turned around Herman and merissa were nowhere to be found.
When the waiter brought their meal he said “please we would like vanilla cake too for dessert “ Mary who was about to cut her beef looked at him and said”you hate cakes”
“You love them” she smiles and continues eating after finishing her first bite
“Are you gonna make me finish the whole cake?”
He shakes his head and says we will have it together. They were talking and laughing. It helped Mary to not think about Herman. After they were done the dessert was brought but Mary asked the waiter to pack for them. They were satisfied ,john paid the bill then left drove near the beach and park.when Mary step out he b;indfolde her and hold her hand walking toward the ocean after few steps he stopped and remove the blind fold.Mary looked around but there were nothing.John was waiting for disappointment on her face but instead she hugged him and say “it so since we come here”
“Are not disappointed that this is your surprise”
Mary was confused”what, no i love it”
“Well then wait for the real surprise”
Suddenly the firework was heard Mary excitedly took to the sky and saw the words that made her so emotional”i will be there for you, i love you my sister” the fireworks didn't stop Mary hugged him tight for like 2 minutes when she let go she was crying
“Hey hey ,no crying.you need my permission for that” fake being angry
“But I couldn't help”she said innocently .John hugged her and kissed her on her forehead.
“Did you like it?”
“No “ john was disappointed “but” before he could finish, Mary was laughing so hard he knew she was messing with him.he wanted to tickle her but she ran.before he could catch her she shout” i love it, your the best”
John was so happy to hear that,Mary said”I have morning sessions tomorrow,lets go” Mockly, he answer” okay your highness”.they drove back ,he watched her until she closed her room’s door then left.she throw herself on her bed then remember she left her phone on her bed try to reach for it without waking up
“Ooh there ,got you” she started to check her phone to find a lot of messages and missed calls but only one message from Herman
Herma:congrats babe,dah sorry i had to leave there were emergencies and am going out do you need anything?
Disappointedly they ignore his text and answer another text until she falls asleep. Someone was knocking so hard Mary woke up annoyed and went to open the door “What”
Tina(Mary’s cousin)”here,it's your breakfast and you're not ready. You know Dr,scot hates being late.”
“Give me five minutes ill be ready.”
“You better be “ starts playing with her phone while throwing herself on her coach and Mary goes to take a shower
After five Minutes Mary got out,Tina looked at her and said”you took forever girl and on my way here i saw that boyfriend of yours having breakfast with that mean girl(merissa)”
“Ooh” she continued to prepare herself and hurry had her breakfast when she was done she checked her phone expecting to see Herman text but there were none. She sent a text to her parents and went to class on her way there she heard merissa voice talking to a group of girls saying” don't worry about Mary,Herman say he gonna break up with her.yesterday hi stayed in my room”
One of the girls said”your kidding”
“Am not dear,in fact he was so soft with me last night,he is so romantic”
Mary evilly laughed and got to class.she was so mad after class she called Herman and went to meet with him.Herman acted like they were strangers after they met,that hurt Mary angry she asked while trying to sound calm”is that true you stayed in Marissa's room last night”
“Yes,”he answered in a egolish tone.
“Mmmh ,okay” Mary walked away.
