Scarlett’s POV I backed away from the coffee table slowly, as if the phone might explode if I moved too fast. Then I picked up the phone, turned and ran, ran upstairs to my room, slammed the door shut, and locked it behind me. I collapsed against the door, sliding down until I was sitting on the floor.
