Scarlett’s POV I couldn’t sleep. Not after what I saw. I kept telling myself it wasn’t her. That shadows lie. That grief warps memory. But I knew better. She was there. Watching. Somewhere between three and four in the morning, I gave up trying. I slipped out of bed quietly, pulled on a robe, and wandered through the long, silent hallways of the Carrington Estate.
