Chapter 2: The Full Moon

DAVE’S POVI was on the field along with the rest of the guys, including Isaac, when the coach walked in. Dave your sitting on the bench, no lacrosse for you this year, coach said to me, I exclaimed, whaaat! Coach, please you can’t do this to me. Coach stared at me and said, Dave, you keep messing up the game with your friends. This year we are going into competition with one of the most dominant team, the bull dogs, I need all the best player I can get, and I’m afraid you’re not one of them. I stared at coach in disbelief then I said to him, coach give me a chance to prove myself, when the coach heard this he stared at me and said alright, I will give you and your team a chance to compete with ken and his team if you win, I will allow in the year’s tournament but if you lose you’re out of lacrosse for good. Oh my God! I exclaimed silently, I stared at ken as he gave me a dreadful look. I thought to myself, men what was I thinking? I should have just sit out this one, I looked at my team and could see the fear in their eyes they were all counting on me. I looked up and saw Malia along with her friends cheering for ken. I sighed softly and went to the field.

The whistle was blown and the game had begun, I ran towards ken who was with the ball and was about to snatch it from him when he quickly passed it to someone else, men, that was close! I exclaimed silently, then I signaled my other team mate to get the ball, he ran as fast as he could and managed to get the ball then he passed it to me and for the first time in my life I had the ball in my net, at that point everything became slow, I was filled with joy not knowing what next to do, I began to hear the scream of the audience go, go, go, they were all pointing at ken’s keeper. I regained myself immediately and ran as fast as I could, I was about to shoot the ball when ken suddenly pushed me to the floor, I fell really hard, ken took the ball from me, I raised my head slowly and saw ken running towards my keeper, at this point I was furious, I stood up speedily and growled calmly then I ran towards ken. Men, I was really fast, like my speed had increased, the coach was surprised to see me at that level of speed, he stared at me in surprise, I ran towards ken and pushed him off, ken flew really high, hitting his back on the ground really hard, I took the ball from him and ran back to his keeper with rage, one of his team mate tried stopping me, I flew above him, then I jumped and threw the ball towards the keeper, the keeper dived and was able to catch the ball however he couldn’t hold it due to the force and pressure attached to the ball. The ball went off from his hands into the net and it was a win for I and my team, the coach immediately blew the whistle, and there was a loud cheer from my team and the audience they were all chanting my name, for the first time in my life everyone chanted my name for good, I looked around and couldn’t absorb the cheers, my team mate including Isaac all came and gave me a hug, Isaac stared at me and said, Scott, what happening with you? You’re evolving. When I heard the word evolving, I excused myself from the field and went to class, then I brought out my laptop and began to browse on werewolves, then something caught my eye, when a someone is bitten, the person can either be killed by the bite or be turned, then I flashed back to when I was attack by a wolf man, I tried to remember if I was bitten by the man, but I recalled not getting a bite from him and besides if I was bitten I ought to see the sign, I was still contemplating on this when suddenly Malia walked in, hey Dave, what are you doing? She asked, I immediately closed my laptop, and replied, nothing, she stared at me suspiciously, I could tell she was suspicious but she overlooked it and said, nice move on the field today, she said to me, I replied, thanks. Then she asked me, where did you learn to do those moves, I paused for a while thinking of my response to her question, then I said in a shaky voice, instinct, she chuckled, men! I just kept staring at her eyes, she said to me, it my birthday tonight and we are having a small party at my place, can you make it, I paused for a while, and whispered in my mind, Oh my God! Is Malia actually asking me to come to her party, I replied, I will be there, she smiled and said, alright Dave, I’ll be expecting you, she then walked out of the class.

I just couldn’t take the moment out of my mind; it was like the best day of my entire life. I packed my laptop into my bag and was about to leave, when Isaac came in, Dave, I’ve been looking for you, come, let go eat, I followed Isaac and we went into the school cafeteria, I ordered for burger, Isaac was more of a eater, so he ordered to his fill, then we both sat together. I said to Isaac, Malia invited me to her party, Isaac exclaimed, what! I whispered to him to keep it down, he nodded and said, oh my God, this year is going to be our year, so what do you plan on wearing for the party, and what are you going to do once you get there. That was when it hit me, oh my God, what do I wear? I whispered to Isaac, Isaac stared at me and could tell I was already panicking, then he said to me, no worries Dave, I got your bag, after we are done eating, we are going shopping, I stared at him and sighed.

We were still eating when ken walked in, I could see the ferocity in his eyes, he was so enraged, he walked slowly to where Isaac and I were sitting, when Isaac saw him, he was scared he stared at ken and said in a shaky voice, what up ken, ken stared at Isaac for a while then he concentrated on me and said, like I wasn’t clear enough at the lobby, you won’t stop right. I stared at ken and said, ken I am sorry, she walked to me, I didn’t ask her, when ken heard this he was furious, Isaac stood up and said to ken, ken please calm down, ken immediately punched him to the ground. When I saw this I pushed ken backwards and exclaimed, what is wrong with you! I went to check on Isaac, Isaac place his hands on my face and said, Dave I think you have two heads, I could tell he was still dizzy, I tried helping him when ken suddenly punched me on the face, I stepped backwards, holding my cheek, I placed my hands on my mouth and it was bleeding I was enraged, I could feel my body evolving, I stared at ken who was coming with another punch, I held his hands and punched him really hard on the cheek and he went unconscious immediately, Isaac was starting to regain himself when he saw what I did, this time, he was suspicious, everyone stared at me as I ran outside the cafeteria, I went into the toilet and shut the door, my claws were already out, my eyes were yellow, my fangs were getting longer, my heart kept beating fast, Isaac came to the toilet and kept knocking, Dave, are you alright, you left the cafeteria, I replied in a thick voice, go away, when Isaac heard this he was surprised, he kept knocking, knocking and knocking, suddenly I smashed the door against him, Isaac fell to the ground, he stared at me and was shocked to see my new form, I jumped on him and was about to slit his throat when he suddenly hit me with a steel pipe, I staggered backwards, Isaac stared at me and said, Dave it me, please get a hold of yourself, I roared at Isaac and ran towards him, Isaac took up the fire extinguisher and hit me on the head once more, I held my head, then he began to spray the fire extinguisher on me, I tried my best to organize myself suddenly my heart began to beat normally, my rage was starting to subsidize, my claws were back to normal, my eyes were back to normal, my whole body were back to normal, I stared at Isaac, I could see the fear in his eyes, he wasn’t still sure if I was back to normal, then I asked, what happened, Isaac stared at me and said, you don’t know what happened, I stared at him in surprise then he said to me, Dave I think you’re a werewolf, and you have a lot of explanation to do, starting with that night when you almost died.

PETER’S POVPeter opened his eyes slowly and they were red, he immediately placed his hands on his stomach and noticed it was healed; he sighed and stood up slowly. He went into his room, placed his hand under his bed and brought out a box containing a dagger, he sighed and said, I must find him, his eyes immediately turn red, his claws were out, his fangs grew, his face took the form of a werewolf, he howled and went into the forest in search of something.
