One evening, Jiro surprised Max by taking him to a small, cozy jazz club. They ordered drinks and listened to the live music, enjoying each other's company. "Jiro, I want to believe that you're committed to our relationship. But I need time to heal and trust you again," Max said, looking into Jiro's eyes. "I understand, Max. He took a deep breath, and for the first time in days, felt hopeful about their relationship. "I love you too, Jiro. Let's take things one step at a time," Max said, giving Jiro a small smile. Jiro leaned in and kissed Max softly, feeling a sense of relief and happiness wash over him. He knew that they still had a long road ahead of them, but he was willing to do whatever it took to make things right with Max. The next few weeks were filled with ups and downs for Jiro and Max. Jiro was doing his best to show Max how much he loved him and that he was committed to their relationship. Max, on the other hand, was slowly learning to trust Jiro again, but it wasn't an easy process. There were times when Max still felt insecure and unsure about Jiro's past with Tatsuo, but Jiro was patient with him and did everything he could to reassure him. One evening, Jiro surprised Max with tickets to a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Max had always been fascinated by Japanese culture, and he was excited to experience it firsthand. As they watched the ceremony, Jiro explained the different steps and meanings behind each one. Max listened intently, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. After the ceremony, they walked around the garden outside and talked about their dreams for the future. Jiro opened up about his desire to start his own business and travel the world, and Max talked about his passion for writing and wanting to publish a novel someday. They sat on a bench under a cherry blossom tree, watching the petals fall around them. Jiro took Max's hand in his and looked into his eyes. "Max, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" Max's heart skipped a beat as he looked at Jiro in disbelief. "Yes, Jiro. I will marry you," he said, tears streaming down his face. Jiro pulled out a small box from his pocket and opened it, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. He slid it onto Max's finger, feeling a sense of joy and contentment wash over him. As they hugged and kissed under the cherry blossom tree, Jiro and Max knew that they still had challenges to face in their relationship, but they were ready to face them together. They were filled with hope and excitement for their future together.
