Max woke up early the next morning feeling anxious about his first day of classes. He quickly got ready and headed to the university campus, making sure to arrive early.
As he walked through the busy campus, he couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed. He had never been to such a large university before, and he had trouble navigating the buildings and hallways. He kept his head down, trying to avoid getting lost.
Suddenly, he bumped into someone, causing him to drop his books. He looked up and saw a young man with bright blue hair staring back at him.
"I'm so sorry," Max stammered, trying to gather his scattered books.
"It's alright," the blue-haired man said, bending down to help Max. "Are you new here?"
Max nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Yeah, I am. I'm still trying to get used to the campus."
The blue-haired man smiled. "I'm Jiro. I've been here for a while, so if you ever need any help finding your way around, just let me know."
Max felt grateful for Jiro's kindness. "Thank you, I really appreciate it."
Jiro waved him off. "No problem. It's always nice to help out a fellow student."
Max thanked Jiro again and continued on his way to class, feeling a bit more at ease.
The rest of the day passed by in a blur of lectures and unfamiliar faces. Max tried his best to keep up, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of being an outsider.
As he was leaving his last class of the day, he heard someone calling his name. He turned around and saw Kai waving at him from across the hall.
"Hey Max, how was your first day?" Kai asked as he walked over to him.
Max sighed. "It was overwhelming. I'm not used to such a big university, and the language barrier is making things even harder."
Kai nodded sympathetically. "Yeah, I can imagine. It takes time to adjust to a new environment, especially one as different as Japan."
Max nodded, feeling grateful for Kai's understanding. "Thanks for being there for me, Kai. I don't know what I would do without your help."
Kai grinned. "Don't mention it. I'm happy to help out a friend."
As they walked out of the building, Max realized that he had never considered Kai as anything more than a friend. But as they talked and laughed together, he found himself drawn to Kai's easy smile and contagious energy.
As they parted ways, Max couldn't help but think about Kai and the connection they shared. He had never felt this way about another man before, but he couldn't deny the attraction he felt towards Kai. He wondered if Kai felt the same way.
As he lay in bed that night, Max's thoughts drifted to Kai and the possibility of something more between them. He didn't know what the future held, but he couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of finding love in a foreign land.
