I'm woken by my mom yelling outside my door.

"Angel you better have that butt out of bed if you want to be able to open your presents."

I groan kinda confused.

My mom opens my door and seeing me still snuggled in bed asks, "Did you forget what today is young lady?" Seeing my confusion goes on to say, " Angel it's your 18th birthday and your first day of senior year now get up."

I groan again and start to sit up as she leaves my room. How could I have forgotten that today was my birthday and what was that dream about. Why does the moon goddess always send messages that I never get to hear the end of.

I sigh and get up. I walk over to my closet and find the perfect birthday outfit. A nice red corset top, ripped black skinny jeans, my knee high combat boots, and of course my signature leather jacket and head for the bathroom connected to my room.

After a quick steamy shower I throw on my robe and begin to dry my long purple hair. While doing this I begin to think about what today holds. I am Angel Scarlet Brandeth. I have bright red eyes, and dyed purple hair. I also have my lip pierced and a tattoo on my shoulder of a heart with both the name of my pack and coven in it.

I am the daughter of the highest ranking vampire in the US, and the daughter of an Alpha blooded werewolf. Once I find my mate I will be the Alpha, well Luna of my pack, The Shadow Walkers, and the Queen of my coven, The Blood Keepers. My parents where what everyone calls a mate that never should have happened. While both groups have learned to tolerate each other over the years no really likes the other. But my parents changed that. The moon goddess who rules over both the werewolves and the vampires mated my parents. That's never happened before. And due to that they had me, the only vampire werewolf there is. I'm kinda a badass if you ask me.

Today is my 18th birthday which means I will find my mate. He could be a vampire or a werewolf but either way he will rule the coven and the pack with me. The thing is by now after knowing everyone in my coven and pack I should have felt some bond with my future mate but nothing, and yet the moon goddess keeps trying to tell me things in my dreams, but my mom always interrupts them.

As I continue to think I straighten my hair and begin my makeup. A simple wing and mascara and a bright red lipstick to match my eyes and top. Once finished I head down stairs to see my parents.

Just as I begin to leave my room my phone dings.

Hey birthday girl, just wanted to let you know I'll have your gift at school love you.

It was Allison my best friend and the mate to my future beta, Bryce. Another ding.

Hey bestie can't wait to see you at school, major party tonight so be ready at 7.

And that would be Michelle my other best friend and the vampire who will be both my second in command at the coven and be my third at the pack once she finds her mate. I love both of my friends and can't wait to spend tonight with them partying.
