Christian’s POV There is death everywhere. Everywhere. If it’s not the bodies, it’s the stench of blood, and if not that, the smell of the lingering fear and panic. They must have been partying as usual when the rogues broke through the clearing. Usually, they would sense them approaching, but they didn’t. I can’t think of why they were caught off guard. Were they all so drunk that their senses were totally compromised? Whatever happened, it’s my fault. I killed so many rogues yesterday. This must be their payback.
