Chapter 07: Time Together

( Still on Flashback )

When the delivery order arrived, Hinata felt his heart soften even more when he saw the eagerness in Hikari's eyes.

He smiles while picking up a slice of the baconed cheese pizza.

"Eat?"

Mas lalong lumiwanag ang mukha nito.

"R-Really?" He nodded at her and lent the pizza. She eagerly took the pizza and brought her face closer to it as if inspecting it.

He chuckles, "Ari, eat."

She grinned and quickly took a large bite. Tasting the meat and cheese, her eyes twinkle as if it has thousands stars and a large grin appeared on her lips.

"Yum?"

She nodded vigorously, "Y-Yes. Brother, it's so good!" and quickly took a few large bites.

He was even happier seeing her being carefree. This was his greatest wish. Too see her smile without worries.

He raises his hand and gently wipes the side of her lips when he notices the smudge on it.

"Thank you, Kuya!"

"Hm, eat more, okay?" Seeing her immersing to the food on the table, he grabbed the tissue on the side and was about to wipe the smudge on his finger when his mind suddenly wandered on the plump lips that he touched earlier.

It was soft… too soft.

His finger unconsciously rubbed the sauce on it and unknowingly brought it on his own. His tongue licks the sauce on his finger and a memory flash on his mind.

It was night and dark. In a locked cabinet, he and Hikari— sit on his lap while u-cking his lips to get the melted chocolate.

He could feel the unknown rush of heat and it was as if there's a lump on his throat.

"Brother?"

Hearing her voice made him come to his senses and he felt the tip of his ears reddened in shame and embarrassment.

What the hell is he thinking? What Hikari did didn't mean anything! She was just casually trying to wipe the chocolate and I'm sure she thinks it's normal due to our habit of giving kisses! He should snap on his senses and—

"Kuya, may masakit ba sa'yo?" Saglit siyang nagitla sa tanong nito at agad na ngumiti nang alanganin.

"No, it's nothing. I'm fine, Ari."

Sumimangot naman ito pero agad ding nawala. Biglang umaliwalas ang ngiti nito at laking gulat niya ang sumunod na nangyari.

It was because Ari suddenly dumped herself on him and sat on his lap. He was shocked to the core when she leaned down and brought her face to him.

"Then I'll give Brother the reward for this gift!"

And before he knew it, he felt her warm and soft lips spread on his face to give him some butterfly kisses.

"Ari, it's okay." He wanted to stop her from performing the last step which is the kiss on the lips. He doesn't want his mind to crook again and ruin this day for the both of them and make this awkward.

"Brother?" She blinked innocently at him. He gulped.

"Ari, thank you for the reward, okay?"

She pout, "Pero hindi pa tapos?"

"No, it's already fine." aniya kaagad at aakma na sanang bubuhatin ito paalis nang humigpit ang kapit nito.

"Pero Kuya, sabi mo noon dapat walang ma-miss every part kasi hindi iyon matatawag na reward!"

He sighs, "Yes, I know but it's fine for now. The food will get cold. Let's eat, okay?"

Akala niya ay papayag na ito dahil sa sarap nang pagkain pero mas lalo lang itong umiling.

"But, we've made a promise to do it properly."

He wants to punch himself in frustration. He was beginning to regret making this mess. That time, he just purely wanted them to be close and for her to be dependent on him. But now, it's clearly inappropriate to do.

However, looking at the wronged face of hers, he thought about how he made an oath to make this day as perfect as possible for her. Since this is the first freedom that she tastes, he wants her to do whatever she wishes.

Sandaling natahimik si Hinata at nakipaglaban sa isipan hanggang sa napabuga na lamang ng hangin sa katapusan and tumango.

"Okay, give me a peek."

Hearing that, Hikari quickly grins and gives him a loud smooch on his lips.

Again, feeling her lips, his breathing stopped for a moment and he could not help but to surrender to the comfortable feeling of her kiss.

He unknowingly caught her lips again when she parted them and they once again shared a kiss.

But this time, it's not a simple peek. Slowly, his mind went blank and his own body acted on its own. He nibbles her lower lip gently. The kiss felt like he was testing the water—afraid that his sister would finally feel something wrong with his actions.

However, contrary to his anxiety, Hikari was even happy feeling her Brother willing to be intimate again. For the past five years, she had suffered the nights alone with so much anxiety and fear that resulted to have nightmares. She thought about the monsters that her brother always tells and shudders. But she couldn't contact him, all she could do was to believe that the music box could protect her.

Luckily, it seems effective. Wala na talagang monster na pumupunta. Kaya naman mas lumalim ang tiwala niya para rito.

Her Brother is always right!

Hinata was immersed in the new feeling inside him. Something is getting hot—burning him. There seems a fire igniting inside him, making an unknown heat that he can't help but to notice.

But he knew this kind of feeling, and it's wrong!

Definitely!

So, Hinata was able to come back on his senses and quickly pull away. He can still feel the heat on his lips but he discarded all the crooks on his thought and raise Hikari over his side. Agad niya itong binigyan ng potato fries para hindi maghinala at nagpanggap na i-set na ng DVD para manood na sila ng sine. Hindi naman ito naghinala at masayang tumango tango na lamang at sinimulan nang kumain.

He pursed his lips at her innocent gaze and cursed himself in his heart.

How dare he have such thoughts!

All morning, Hikari was totally immersed in the movie that they're watching. It was actually just a travel group who experienced common problems such as heartaches about love, family and that.

But this common flick was fascinating for a little girl who hasn't seen the outside world other than watching outside the gate.

That's right. Hindi pa nito nakikita ang labas. Ever since childhood, their parents have been busy stumping her for who she is. Hikari was too busy learning about the household chores in the house that she wasn't interested. But then, even if she was interested, hindi naman din siya nakakalabas o sumubok na lalabas dahil sa mga banta nila. Hikari didn't dare to defy them even if she was left alone in the house. As a result, she was totally ignorant about what's on the outside world.

Her eyes were twinkling again as she saw how beautiful it is to be outside.

Napabuntong hininga siya sa nakikitang inggit sa mga mata nito.

'Maybe soon, Ari. You can go to all the places that you want to.'

His eyes narrowed, 'But for now, it's just too hard to see how you anticipate going outside when you can't.'

Feeling pity, he pursed his lips and pulled her towards him.

He put her in his embrace and stroked her hair.

"Kuya?" nagtatanong nitong ani.

"How's the movie?"

"Good!" She exclaim in excitement. "Ang ganda nung lugar tas ang dami pang tao! S-Saka ang dami nilang kinain na pagkain, Kuya."

"You think so too?" he gently pushed her head so it would rest on his shoulder. His expression went serious. "Gusto mo ring lumabas?"

She was stunned. "L-Labas?" may bumadhang pag-alinlangan sa mukha nito.

"Pero, Kuya. Ayaw nila ma'am, diba?"

Hindi naman siya makasagot dito. He can't promise anything for her right now.

Alam niyang para sa reputasyon na naman nila kung kaya't hindi siya pinapayagang lumabas dito sa bahay. Wala ring kahit na sinong bisita ang nakakapunta dito. And it was because of Hikari.

Unfortunately for them, Hikari looks like their mother. They have the same pair of innocent faces. However, his mother's face was just a facade but Hikari is real.

If someone would see Hikari, they would know that she's her daughter but, when was she even proud to acknowledge her as her own?

He sighs, "I'm sorry."

Ngumiti naman ito at umiling, "No. Kuya is already enough for Hikari!"

Agad siyang napangiti sa sinabi nito at dumukwang para maingat itong halikan sa noo.

"You too, Ari. You're more than enough."

Hikari smiled and went back to the movie. However, she was startled and blinked in confusion at what she's seeing.

Meanwhile, he was dumbfounded when he saw what the scene was.

A kissing scene.

A deep french kissing.
