Chapter 23: Outside
'Ang lawak...'
Ito ang unang salita na naisip niya habang nakatulalang nakatingin sa panibagong lugar na nakikita niya.
She can see the clear blue sky above, the birds flying back and forth, some large trees on sides and the large road ahead.
She was stunned.
She already seen this view inside the house. Most of the times after she finished her chores, tumatambay siya sa may bintana at tahimik na tinatanaw ang labas kung saan ni minsan hindi niya pa napupuntahan.
Deep in her heart, she has longed before this happened. She wanted to look closer at nature , seemingly trying to tell her that what she saw was just the tip of an iceberg. That she can have more... unless she leaves the house.
Yet she couldn't— or she just didn't want to.
