Chapter 05: Innocence

( Still on Flashback )

Night came and their parents came back. To his disappointment, their routine was still the same in the past. It was only him and their parents together at the dining table while his little sister— Hikari was standing on the doorway, waiting for orders as if she's truly a maid.

Seeing his parents indifferent and Hikari acting as if it's only natural, he secretly gritted his teeth but couldn't rebuke them.

He still has no power in this house nor outside the premises. But he made an oath to himself and for her, she'll be out of this damn house sooner.

"Let's eat! We've miss this so much!" masayang ani ni Mrs. Ullier, his Mother, at ito na mismo ang sumandok ng kanin para sa kanya.

"You, Hikari. Come here and give us some drinks." utos naman ni Mr. Ullier, his Father.

Hikari quickly nodded and cautiously picked up the jar of juice and poured them.

"Son, you must eat well, okay? I knew you're tired from your flight and you need food. Eat more. Wala namang ibang kakain nito kundi tayo lang." dagdag nito. Kumunot naman ang noo niya sa mga salitang pinili nito.

'What does she mean by that? That Hikari can't even eat leftovers? Anong kakainin niya?'

Agad siyang nawalan ng gana sa kaisipang iyon pero wala siyang magawa kundi ang pilitin ang sarili na kumain. But after taking a few mouthful, he give up the urge to eat as he has no appetite.

"Hinata? Bakit hindi ka na kumakain? Is there's something wrong with the food? Ayaw mo ba ng lasa?" alalang tanong nito at bumahda ang inis sa mukha.

"You!" She pointed angrily at Hikari who immediately flinch. "Hindi ba't sinabi ko na pag-aralan mong mabuti kung paano magluto?! Bakit hanggang ngayon palpak ka pa din!"

"I-I'm sorry, wala po kasi akong oras kasi marami akong ginagawa—"

"Sumasagot ka na! Pilosopa!" She stood up angrily and to his horror, she slapped her daughter hard as if Hikari was just an incompetent maid.

"Mom!" hindi na niya napigilan ang mapatayo sa matinding gulat.

"Hinata, just let her." walang emosyong ani ng Ama na para bang sanay na sanay na sa nangyayari.

His blood boiled in anger. 'It's like this?! She endured this for five years?! Did my decision back then was right, then?'

"Go to the cabinet and lock yourself!" sigaw nito. He was horrified.

"But Mom!" hindi niya mapigilang komontra, "Malaki na si Ari, hindi na siya kakasya doon! Hindi siya makakahinga! Why don't we just quietly send her in her room and nothing more?" paki-usap niya.

"No! It's her punishment for making a mistake." galit nitong saway.

"Go before I slap you again!"

Hikari frantically nods and without waiting for him, she rushes upstairs scared.

"Mom, I can't believe this. It's been years yet you are still like this!"

"Son!"

Umiling iling siya. "No. If you want to punish her then punish me too for answering you. Sasamahan ko siya. Bahala kayo."

He moves to the kitchen and grabs some chocolates before going upstairs without waiting for their response.

Pagkapasok niya nang kwarto ay nakita niya itong nasa labas parin at hindi malaman kung paano kakasya sa loob ng cabinet.

He sighs.

"Ari,"

Agad siya nitong hinarap at naiiyak na lumapit saka siya niyakap ng mahigpit.

"K-Kuya,"

He hugged her back tightly, "I'm sorry."

"N-Natatakot ako." nanginginig nitong bulong. He caress her hair.

"Don't worry, I'm already here. I'll accompany you inside again."

Agad itong napatingala. "R-Really?"

He nodded and smiled. "Yes."

"Pero," nagalangan nito at minwestura ang cabinet. "Paano tayo kakasya, Kuya?"

That made him realize the situation too. In the past, dahil maliliit pa lang sila ay kasyang kasya silang magkatabi sa loob. Medyo masikip habang lumilipas ang ilang taon pero nakakaya parin. It's because it seemed that he's the one who's only growing and not Hikari.

She's too thin and small for her age. However now, she already grew and lalo naman siya. Talagang hindi sila kakasya doon.

He stared at the cabinet and a sudden idea flashed in his mind. However, awkwardness quickly rushed on him and he shook his head.

What he thought was ridiculous. How could he do that to her?

"Kuya?" nabalik siya sa katinuan nang marinig ang tawag nito. "Anong gagawin? Magagalit na naman si ma'am kapag hindi ako pumasok. Kaso hindi ka kasya. Ako lang ba mag-isa papasok?" naiiyak na naman nitong ani.

Malakas siyang napabuntong hininga.

"Well, Ari, I do have a solution but it's quite inappropriate."

"Hm?"

He looked away and felt shy, "W-Well, I was thinking if y-you could sit on my lap perhaps? I-I mean only if it's not uncomfortable but don't force yourself, okay? I—"

"Okay."

He was stunned.

"Excuse me?"

"Okay." saglit itong nagulat sa reaksyon niya pero agad ding tumango na para bang normal lang ang gagawin nila.

"I mean, Kuya, I used to sit on your lap in the past? Ganun naman yun parin, diba?"

"Yes, of course. But, Ari, we're adults now. I mean I am but we're grown up and you know, inappropriate way?" nag-aalangan niyang ani pero parang mas naguluhan pa ito.

"I don't understand? What's the difference? Ikaw lang naman yun? Mali ba, Kuya?" lumungkot ang ekspresyon nito. "Or you just don't wanna accompany me anymore—"

"No," He exhales a loud breath, "okay, let's do this."

Hinawi niya muna ang ibang mga damit sa gilid para magkaroon ng espasyo at pumasok na doon. As expected, siya pa nga lang ay nasisikipan na siya sa loob.

He grunted and sit on the corner. Napabuga siya nang hangin nang makahanap ng komportableng posisyon.

"Alright, come here, Ari."

Excitedly, she quickly went in and made herself sit on his lap facing her back on him. Sinarado naman nito ang pinto at ni-lock.

He grab his phone and light it up. Tapos ay kinuha niya ang chocolate at pinakain rito para magkaroon ng energy dahil hindi naghapunan. Though she wasn't supposed to take sugar or she can't sleep, he has no choice but atleast to give her stomach something.

"Thank you!" magiliw nitong ani at kinain agad.

"Hmm," using the flashlight, pinanood niya lang itong kumain at napangiti na lang siya kasi para itong bata.

"It's still your favorite?"

"Yes! Minsan lang ako nakakakain nito kapag pinapayagan ako. Ma'am doesn't approve but actually, Sir would sometimes secretly give me some kapag wala si Ma'am."

He was surprised at the information. "Really?"

"Yes. But that's all." ngumiti ito. "Pero sapat na yun lalo na kapag kinukulong ako dito."

He sighs. "That's quite good perhaps."

"Hm!" nilahad nito ang chocolate.

"You eat too. Hindi ka masyadong kumain kanina."

He smiled. "Okay." Leaning, he took a bite. Due to her messy eating, there was melted chocolate on the wrapper and he felt it smudge on his cheek.

Tumawa naman ito. "Messy!"

"Well, you are too." aniya at tinuro ang labi nitong pinalibutan ng chocolate.

She quickly stuck out her tongue and lick all over her mouth that made him stiffen.

She blinked. "Kuya?" Now, there was no chocolate left but her mouth was wet due to the saliva.

He unknowingly gulped.

"You're still messy."

She pout at tinuro ang pisngi niya. "Ikaw din naman!"

He doesn't know what gotten him but he smirk,

"Why don't you lick it clean too?"

Before he could take back what he said, she already moved closer to him. Leaning, she excitedly sticks out her tongue again and lick the chocolate on his cheek.

He groaned softly.

"W-Wala na?" ngayon ay para na siyang binuhusan ng malamig na tubig nang makita ang inosente nitong ngiti.

She giggled. "No. There's still some smudge left."

"Okay." He was about to wipe it using his hand when she grabbed him and leaned again.

"No! You'll waste my chocolate!"

And before he knew it, she already lick it again for a few strokes. That move made him stiffen even more as he felt that warm and soft thing.

"Ari—"

"Ayaw makuha! Hmp!"

Much to his bewilderment, she suddenly changed position. She's still sitting on his lap but this time, she was facing him fully— placing him in between her legs.

Wrapping her arms around her neck, she leans down again and instead of just licking it, she sticks her whole mouth on his cheek as if kissing him and begins on sicking his skin.

He growled slowly and felt his blood boil.

"A-Ari," He started breathing heavily.

"Wala na!" masaya nitong aniya at tumigil na.

He didn't answer and just stared at her with a shocked gaze. She blinked innocently.

"Kuya? May problema ba?"

"N-No," He stammered. He felt the tip of his ear reddened.

'F-ck!' He cussed multiple times inside his head. But, just as he thought that everything's finish, Hikari loudly exclaim,

"Oh! You have chocolate on your lips too! I want it!"

And the next thing he knew, she stuck her mouth on his and begin sucking his lips coated with the damn chocolate.

'Dammit!'
