Maisie smiled; she didn’t know he had a cute side. He acts like Hazel does when she is mad at her.
“I just wanted to say that, what you heard in the morning was wrong,” Maisie said. Aidan snapped his head to her.
She was almost embarrassed. She scratched her arms and as she took in a deep breath.
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“My father received the news from Mr. Rex yesterday. I had not had any dealings with Mr. Rex, I had never even met his son before, believe me,” Maisie said.
Aidan was silent.
“Was that why you left home?” he asked her. Maisie's head dropped to her chest.
“I said some things I can’t take back. Plus, I don’t want to be around them anymore. I was going to get evicted anyways and I didn’t want to be forced to marry whom I didn’t know” She shrugged her shoulders.
