“Ring! Ring!”
Aidan’s phone kept buzzing, interrupting his moment with Maisie.
He tried to overlook it, but it continued.
“I think you should take that. Seems important,” Maisie said.
“I’m sure it’s work, I’ll attend to that later. For now, it’s all about you and me,” Aidan said as he pulled closer and brushed Maisie’s face with the back of his hand.
Maisie just smiled at the gesture.
“So, how have things been with you? I’m sorry I haven’t been so available, I’ve been trying to sort out all that drama. How’s Hazel? Tell me everything. I feel like I missed out on a lot,” Aidan said as they both sat on the chair by the corner.
The midnight cold breeze and quiet street just set the atmosphere right for a conversation.
Maisie didn’t want to talk to him but she was tired of the fights
