Chapter Nineteen Sandra sat in the front seat of the van. Next to her was Darrel Benning. She despised it when she had to work with him. He was cruel and always made crude comments. The worst part was his apparent aversion to bathing. His hair was always greasy, and she doubted a comb had ever passed through it. The van had the markings for a home maintenance company that didn’t exist. They had applied the labels to the sides of the vehicle when they were halfway there and would remove them in a few hours.
