Rosalie's POV
"Please Sign the papers, I beg of you." He said stretching the paper close to my side of the table. "Everything would be in your care till everything dies down."
It was 10 AM on Friday and I was sitting in my office, my back resting on my office chair as I stared at the man standing in front of me, in disbelief.
"Rosalie please, someone sent her a picture of the both of us hanging out and she's been on a rampage, she knows I married her for my political ambition and she's out to take everything I own from me. I can't protect my seat at the Senate but I honestly can't protect my properties, please help me." He begged.
My plan was to get all the properties Marco stole from me after the divorce, I knew it would take time but I was ready to wait till my plan came together but who would have thought Marco would be in my office begging me to sign over the document as mine to avoid it been taken by his wife.
"Why me? You can protect it with the law."
"The thing is, you know how high and mighty her family is, I'm sure they can bend the law to fit whatever they want, it's your property after all and you'll be in the best place to protect it for me, untill I'm on my feet again or I come up with a better plan, just sign it please."
I picked the paper and read it carefully, it said the properties were mine and I had kept it in his care before leaving the country.
I didn't know if he was just dumb because in honesty, I've never actually known him to be a smart person, it didn't make sense that he didn't understand the gravity of what he was getting himself into.
I reached for my pen and scribbled my signature on it and returned the paper back to him.
"Please keep it, Thank you Rosalie, Thank you very much, I always knew I can trust you." He said holding my hands.
I placed the document inside my bag.
"It's nothing, Marco, I hope you and your wife settle your differences," I said as I went back to my work.
He didn't reply and I didn't want to push it, luck was already on my side anyways.
"You know we wouldn't have to come to this, if you had just been the wife you were supposed to be. If you had continuously been supportive." He said breaking the silence.
I dropped my pen and closed the file I was reading, I couldn't do this anymore.
"Now listen to me Marco, I've been patient hearing you talk but right now, I think I've had enough of your complain. You were never a good man, I endured abuse of all kinds from you because I wanted us to work and I won't sit down here and watch you push the blame on me."
"You talk of being supportive like I got any from you, you were a house husband, you sat down at home and watched me do all the work, you were not even qualified to be called a man or my husband but you got it on a platter of gold, if there's anyone who should be complaining, that person should be me and not you. If you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way to see the president." I said before picking up my bag and walking out of the office.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" Clara asked me when I got to her desk some distance away from my office.
I breathed in and out and wiped the tears at the corner of my eyes "There's someone in my office, I don't want to meet him there when I get back."
She nodded.

"I'm glad you are enjoying your stay here, it has been four years and I never actually got a chance to apologize for what my daughter did."
One who heard him talking wouldn't believe he was the same man that didn't give my father a hearing when the issue came up.
I was at the presidential villa, this used to be my home at a point but right now it belonged to someone else – The Carters.
"It's fine sir, everything is in the past now and it'll be better we focus on the present." I said standing up. "It was nice to finally speak to you Mr President, I'll keep everything you've said in mind."
I walked out of his study, and down the living room till I got to the door, this used to be my home, so I knew my way around.
When my hands touched the door handle, I felt it again, someone was watching me, I looked around but didn't see anyone.
I've been feeling this way since I got to the Villa.
I stepped outside and bumped into something, a rock maybe and I staggered, spilling the files I had collected from the president.
"Shit." I cursed as I bent down to pick up the papers that had flown in different directions.
I saw a hard picking up the papers too, it was no rock, I had bumped into someone, not just anyone,
Ken Graham.
"Maybe you should watch where you're going next time." He said picking up the papers.
Infuriated, I snatched the papers from him hands, not bothering to arranged them accordingly, I picked up everything and stood up to look at him.
"Maybe you should also watch where you're going and we wouldn't both be in this mess."
He looked at me and said nothing, his expression stoic, he was a hard man, his mannerisms were hard to decipher.
"From the Senate sittings, one would think you held a grudge against me but I saw it as you doing your job, but out here, I can't tell if it's your job or you just being an attention seeker. A simple apology would have fixed things."
He scoffed.
"And what do you think I would do with your attention, I'm not like you who feeds on it."
"Feed on attention? You don't even know me, maybe if you make efforts to, you would swallow your words." I said, anger slowly moving through me.
"I don't need to know you, you're the Senate President act as one, instead of having your business all over the news. If you'll excuse me, I have an important meeting to catch."
He adjusted his suit and walked away leaving me fuming in anger and confused.
"Having my business all over the news?, he's weirder than I thought." I scoffed.
Looking at the papers in my hands, I knew I had given myself another stress by not properly arranging them, it would take a while before I can arrange everything.
Thank God I had Clara, I brought out my phone to call her but her call immediately came through.
"Talk of perfect timing, I was about calling you." I said immediately I picked her call.
"I'm guessing you have seen it, what do we do?" She asked, panic in her voice.
I was confused "seen what? What do we do about what?" I asked.
"You haven't seen it? Please check the news Ma, I don't know how to explain it."
I ended the call and scrolled to my i********:, few scrolls again, that was when I saw it.
I staggered backwards, my heart slamming heavily against my chest, I was done for.
