26 July2010 The last week of July was one of the hottest in decades. Having no intention of working together with Zanardi and her stupid deputy, I holed up inside the office, in the cool of the air conditioning, to try and put together and rework all the elements that had been discovered in those two months. I had the impression, in fact, that I was missing something, a common thread that linked all the characters of the Villa Brandi incident and maybe with someone I hadn"t taken into consideration to date. Perplexed, I went back over strategies, notes, searches done on the internet, results of research my colleagues had carried out, results from forensic tests. A dossier that had grown as the days passed and would continue to grow, but to which it was necessary to give a logical sense.
