Dafne White’s POV The door closes, and I can no longer hold back my tears, letting out a sob full of anguish. “Damn it, Daf!” Grace rushes out of the room and hugs me. “I’m so sorry, girl, I’m sorry this is happening, I know you love him.” I hug her neck, leaning into her embrace. “I can’t ask him to stay, it would be selfish and illogical. It’s not his baby. I knew he wouldn’t be able to handle this news, even so, it hurts to know that we won’t be together.” Her hand rubbing my back comforts me, and I think about the baby growing inside of me.
