"A deal is a deal, grumpy girl, and you'll pay me back big time for this one." With that sentence, my heart nearly stopped.
Not only because I knew I was in serious trouble, but also because his breath against my ear made me remember something... a bit strange.
"You know what, grumpy girl? I’ve never had this much fun."
I swallow hard and look at him, unsure of what to say—everything has caught me off guard.
"Do you still have much time left before your shift ends?" I blink like an i***t because I've already gotten myself into this mess.
There's no turning back now.
Come on, Dafne! She's watching, and I need to look strong, confident.
