Chapter 15
Lynn settled onto one of the wooden benches that lined the inside of the Jersey City mall. Aimee decided to drive into New Jersey, away from some of the chaos of Manhattan’s weekend tourist swarms. Lynn thought it was an excellent idea especially since she was certain some of the fans that attended the benefit were still lingering. She considered wearing her usual disguise but felt the change could possibly frighten Morgan. Instead, she opted to pull her hair into a ponytail and downplay her makeup. Despite the measures to go unnoticed, one fan recognized her when they stopped at the ice cream parlor. Thankfully, the teenage girl was respectful of her boundaries, unlike some of her more infatuated fans.
“So, are you feeling any better?” Aimee settled next to Lynn on the bench.
