Katie gasped when she walked in a complete circle around Lynn, eying her sister’s growing figure. She blinked, stopping directly in front of her with a grin. “You’ve…blossomed.”
Lynn laughed, rolling her eyes when she looked at Katie with disdain. “I’m carrying twins, sis. What do you expect me to look like, maternity Barbie?” Lynn’s crimson shirt clung to her rounded midsection like a second skin. At this point, she didn’t hold out much hope of ever being able to reclaim her pre-baby weight. Every night she used a cocoa butter and Vitamin E cream across her stomach, trying to prevent so many stretch marks from forming. When she’d gone to her last ultrasound, the babies measured at three pounds and two ounces while the other one weighed two pounds and fourteen ounces.
