Chapter 18
“So far, so good,” Alexis said when she glanced back to make certain no one had followed them. To give the illusion they were flying out from JFK, Lynn dropped off her car at the airport. Everyone went inside the terminal with their luggage before slipping out the side door and piling into a rental car.
“I told you it would work.” Lynn glanced to Alexis in the passenger seat. The way the golden rays leaped through the windshield illuminated Alexis’s fair skin, giving her an angelic appearance in the sunlight. Lynn forced her gaze to return to the road even though she knew she could stare at her wife the entire day without ever tiring of the view.
