Caroline heard the kids rush to the door the minute she put her key in the lock. She barely made it inside before they were yipping, hopping and jumping all over her. She dropped her bag, without thinking too much about it, and the damn thing landed on Delilah’s paw. The squealing and barking brought Leslie out of his room and into the hallway. “What the hell’s going on?” “Delilah, Mummy’s so very sorry.
