CHAPTER FORTY-NINE
Zoe and Charlotte stood by the window of the back bedroom as night fell. This was Zoe’s third night in the apartment. The wounds were healing and her strength returning after plenty of sleep and good food.
“We’re so lucky.” Charlotte sighed. “Finding that lonely grave out there and discovering the truth behind it gave me a lot to think about. And when Harmony told me I had a sister…”
“Did you ever find out how she knew?”
“Nope. And the last thing she said to me was that my future had changed and all she saw was happiness for me.”
Zoe put an arm around her shoulders. “I’m so proud of you. Always have been.”
