CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX Against Rosie’s wishes, Charlotte dragged the ladder out again and cleaned the camera lens. Her boss was busy with customers so had little to say after her initial ‘no, darling, leave it for Trev’. Well, she wasn’t leaving anything for Trev or any other man to do, not when she was capable of climbing up and doing it herself. After Christmas, this ladder had spent a bit of time upstairs as she’d repainted the balcony and done small repairs. Awkward it might be, but impossible it wasn’t.
