CHAPTER SIXTEEN Trev unlocked the front door and ushered Charlotte in with the bottle of wine she’d insisted on buying on the way. They found Rosie at the counter making a floral arrangement. “Perfect timing! Ooh…nice. Shall we open it now?” Adding one last flower, Rosie smiled at Charlotte. “These are for you, darling.” “Me? Oh, they’re lovely.” Charlotte kissed Rosie’s cheek after handing the wine to Trev. “How did you get such colour and variety at this time of year?” “There are plenty of winter flowers and you know I love my garden. Next time we have a nice day, we’ll go for a walk out the back and I’ll show you some that might work in your little yard.
