“There are plenty of places you should have taken that girl to for treatment, Kaiden. Like the pack hospital, for example. Why did you bring her into the palace?” Darlene asked, her arms folded, her face twisted into a stern frown.
“Why can’t she come here? She is about to become the Luna of the pack.”
Darlene scoffed. “That won’t happen unless she wins the duel, which I am sure she isn’t going to, so why are you bothering yourself?”
