Sapphire wasn’t expecting that answer, by the way. She wondered if he was actually planning to participate if she hadn’t come to meet him. If he didn’t want Gavin getting the throne, then it was obvious that he had something planned. The question now would be: what?
She didn’t ask, though. She just watched him with an amused expression on her face.
“Are you fascinated?” The corner of Kaiden’s lips curved upward.
Sapphire snickered. “I’m not that easily impressed.”
The smirk didn’t leave his lips as they talked about other random stuff. After breakfast, he dropped her off at Leon’s bar and headed for the skull, where he sat with his legs crossed.
