“Yes but you know what he didn't do, he didn't throw me out of my house,” I replied, looking back at her. “He’s keeping me around, Claire, he could have killed me or thrown me out of the house.”
She had such a huge smile that made me chuckle a bit. I wondered how Kaelion had been living with her for so long without realising she had feelings for her.
“We all know why he is keeping you around. Once he kills your father, he will be free to do whatever he wants to you so please enjoy your last days,” She muttered, walking away while I went back into the room angrily.
As much as I hated to admit it, Claire was right. Kaelion was probably going to kill me like he killed my pack members once he had no usefulness for me.
“I won't let that happen,” I stated, locking the door.
