Melody's Sweet Revenge

Chapter Six

Evening came, Alice and Melody were in the dining room. Melody was sitting close to her mother. Ever since she woke up she had been clinging close to her mother. If she were given a chance to sit on her mother's lap, she would gladly do it, but that would be too embarrassing.

As they waited for dinner, they were busy chatting and laughing at each other. But the mother and daughter chit-chat was short-lived . When the door of the dining room suddenly opened.

Then entered the man with his domineering and intimidating aura walking handsomely across the room. Lorenzo Perez, Melody's father.

The room went silent. Even the chefs and the servants inside the room became more alert.

Lorenzo Perez, at the young age of 10, lost both his parents due to a car accident. When he turned 16, he became the youngest CEO of his generation. He is famous for being a genius in the business world. He's also well known for being a perfectionist. He is ruthless. He doesn't forgive nor accept mistakes.

When Lorenzo saw his wife and daughter together, he stopped and looked at his expensive wristwatch.

" Did I miss anything? I'm not late, am I? " he asked. Usually, Lorenzo was the first to arrive during their family dinners.

" No, you're right on time. We were just early today. " Alice replied.

" I see. " ,said Lorenzo, as he sat at his usual spot on the dinner table.

And so the family dinner started.

The dinner was quiet. The only noise that could be heard was the noise coming from their eating utensils as they ate.

" How is your head? " Lorenzo asked Melody while eating.

" Huh ... um ... It's fine. Feeling a bit light-headed, but I can still manage. " ,Melody answered.

Melody wasn't expecting that. She was used to awkward and quiet dinners like they always do. Her father doesn't talk much. And she wasn't even close to her father. So hearing her father start a conversation was quite surprising.

Melody grew up with her mother solely raising her. Her father rarely comes home. As far as Melody could remember, the longest time that she could be with her father was 1 hour. And that is during her birthday every year. Melody firmly believed that if her father were to choose between his family or his work , her father would choose his job.

In her past life, their relationship totally drifted apart when her mother died.When Alice died, Lorenzo also died with her. He disappeared . He didn't even attend her mother's funeral.

Then there's Nancy and Camille, who poisoned her mind by saying that her father is blaming her for the death of her mother. That her father was disappointed and angry at her. And she should forget about him. And like the fool that she was, she believed them. What can she do? Her mother was gone and her father abandoned her. She was alone.

And that is why she never asked for her father's help in her last life.

" That's it! " an idea popped into Melody's mind.

If Melody decided not to care about her father in her past life. In this life, everything needs to change.

" I will make father crazily love and adore me! " Melody shouted, full of conviction in her mind.

" With father by my side I could easily crush Nancy and Camille like a cookie! " Melody was laughing maniacally in her mind.

She didn't even realize that she was grinning evilly, while Alice and Lorenzo were staring at her totally bewildered. They are wondering what is wrong with their daughter.

" Melody sweetie, are you okay? " Alice asked her daughter. She is getting worried. First, her daughter screamed in horror, then she cried like a baby and now she's grinning like a villain plotting something evil.

Melody was brought back to reality when her mother called her. " Yes , mom? "

" Well , your father was asking you a question. "

Melody turned to Lorenzo, " Oh ... what is it, father? " She was so immersed in her future plans that she literally escaped reality.

" Do you recognize the person who did this to you? "

After Lorenzo asked the question, the room became silent, everyone stopped whatever they were doing. Even Alice was eager to hear her daughter's answer.

" Yes, I do recognize her. How could I forget her face?

" So, who is it? " asked Alice.

" Her name is Stella Curtis. She's one of my school mates. " ,Melody confessed, using her low and serious voice.

" I see. " said Lorenzo calmly. As his face darkened like he wanted to murder someone.

In the past, Melody didn't tell her parents who it was. She just told them that she tripped down the stairs because of her clumsiness.

Just because Nancy told her that her parents would never let her go back to school anymore. If they knew that someone wanted to harm her in school. And if that happens, they will have less time together. So she chose to lie instead of telling the truth.

Not knowing that Nancy only cares about herself. She was just scared of Melody's parents finding out that her fan had attacked Melody. They will take Melody away from her. And she can't afford to be away from her walking bank.
