Mornings are my favorite. The smell of the morning dew, the sound of the people rushing around to get to work. All of it. I enjoy it. There is no other time during the day that's more alive than when we wake up trying to get everything ready for the day. I didn't start liking mornings until after my parents died. Getting Breeze ready for school, making breakfast and our lunches. It was like a race to have everything ready without forgetting anything. It was fun. Especially on the days when we overslept.
Now I enjoy them for completely different reasons. I fell in love with the challenge of waking up before everyone else in the bunkers. Having that moment of peace in the massive open fields the training camps are located in was my favorite pa
