Every fiber of my being feels like it is burning and ripping apart. I scream out in pain and throw myself back against the ground, looking for some kind of relief. When I open my eyes, Vik is looking at me with pity and regret in his eyes… Is he regretting marrying me…? Or marking me? I fight the urge to scream again but the fire within me only continues to build. I begin panting, gasping for breath as I feel choked by the burn that sears ever nerve ending within me. “Baby… just try to relax. Don’t try to fight it, it will only make it worse. Take a deep breath and try to relax.” I hear Viktor’s voice cut through the pain that is causing my brain to fog, making everything happening feel like a dream… A horrible, violent nightmare.
