“Baby?...” I hear Vik call from the stair landing as I close the door.
“Hi…” I turn smiling at him, ready for some alone time.
“I’m sorry. We have to pack…”
“Pack? Why where are we going?”
He sighs heavily. “I got a call from the council; they need me to go settle a dispute on behalf of them. They wanted me to go alone, but I told them there was no way I was spending our first night as man and wife without you.”
“So where are we going?”
He shrugs. “I honestly have no idea. There is a dispute, I have to car, they are sending a car… That is all I know.”
“Okay… Let’s pack.”
