I wait patiently for them to leave the room. There is a scraping sound followed by a clicking sound. Then I hear the older man shuffle followed by the hard steps of the younger man. They make their way down the hall, and not up the stairs as I had though. I hear two different doors open and then close. There are three bedrooms that I found on this floor, so they must be in two of those, but I don't know which two. One is very close to the front of the hallway and might hear me moving things around. The other two are towards the end of the hallway... I sit for some time until there is nothing but silence in the house once more, then I tiptoe my way into the other room.
