There is a rustling in the trees and then two men emerge, naked, dragging in the woman backwards, her heels digging into the dirt. She screams and thrashes around violently, trying to break free. "Let her go! Please! Just let me talk to her!" I beg. Damian emerges from the woods and nods. The men bring her before me and let her go. She drops backwards onto her bottom, then frantically crawls around to face me, the terror etched on her face.
"Please don't kill me. I don't want to be doing this..." she begs, tears streaming down her face.
"I was in the woods... when you took the female wolf. You didn't want to hurt her... I know you don't want to be fighting us... So why are you? Why are you helping the hunters?" I implore her. She looks away, shame written on her face.
